By the people, for the people
Our work exists to serve people first, not institutions or profit.
RedHead Industries exists to build technology, research, and tools by the people and for the people without exploitation, surveillance, artificial scarcity, or hidden control.
We are not a traditional corporation. We are not driven by profit margins or growth-at-all-costs. We are not neutral in the face of injustice, exploitation, or harm.
Freedom, privacy, dignity, and access to knowledge are fundamental human rights, not premium features or bargaining chips.
Our work exists to serve people first, not institutions or profit.
We operate as a non-profit organization with open-source values.
Privacy, freedom, dignity, and access to knowledge guide every decision.
Five principles shape everything we build and share.
Privacy is a basic human right. It is not a luxury, a hidden setting, or a premium feature. We reject mass surveillance, forced telemetry, dark patterns, and data harvesting disguised as analytics.
Convenience is often used to remove choice. We believe it should never come at the cost of freedom, agency, or understanding.
We design systems that empower users, even when it requires more effort and clearer documentation.
Free and open-source software is a moral, social, and political stance. Code should be auditable, knowledge should be shareable, and innovation should thrive through collaboration.
High-quality software, games, and research should not be locked behind manipulative systems or artificial scarcity.
Transparency is about responsibility. Decisions should be explainable, systems should be understandable, and power should be visible.
Every branch and initiative is guided by the same ethical foundation.
We build open-source software, games, and experimental hardware with transparency, user autonomy, and privacy-first architecture.
Our research stays open, ethical, and community-benefiting, especially in areas that are underfunded or neglected.
We are your neighbors, coworkers, friends, and the people who refuse to accept the status quo.
RedHead exists within the community and is accountable to the people it serves.
We commit to the following principles:
If RedHead fails to uphold these beliefs, we expect to be questioned, challenged, and corrected. Accountability is part of our foundation.
We build with the community, not above it. If you share these values, we welcome your support and collaboration.
